International Women’s Week

Sirius College Secondary Girls celebrated International Women’s Week with plenty of songs, games, laughter and fun!

Our girls stole the show as they battled it out at the International Women’s Week Lip Sync event. Students sung their hearts out to the tune of several girl-power pop songs as the audience laughed, danced and sang along!

On Wednesday, we held a Women’s Day Breakfast filled with sandwiches, fruit, baked goods and more! It was a big success. Thank you to all those who came to support the event and celebrate influential women around the world. May all women be free to dream, express, create and live their deepest heart’s desires. HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY!

Learning Support with Ms Jenny Li

At Sirius College, we believe in giving all students every possible opportunity to succeed. As such, the Learning Support Room has been created to give students who are struggling with certain subjects, the chance to receive free tutoring in Math and English as well as one-on-one or small group support.

Miss Jenny Li has worked hard to create a beautiful room filled with helpful resources, colourful stationary, positive affirmations and plenty of lollies to motivate students to learn and succeed in the stressful school environment. At the learning support room, previous Sirius College graduates have come to help students with their homework and assessment revision in an interactive and fun way – UNO math games anyone? A large focus has also been put into making learning fun and visual to incorporate different and unique learning styles.

If you are interested in receiving extra help in subjects you may be failing or struggling with, please see Miss Jenny to collect a form. The Learning Support Room is located in the Student Support Portables between the Year 7/8 Coordinator and Psychologist’s offices.
